This full-day program will focus on how importers can take advantage of numerous opportunities to save money, by using Preferential Duty Programs, including the NAFTA, CAFTA, U.S.-Singapore FTA, Generalized System of Preferences (GSP), Caribbean Basin Economic Recovery Act (CBERA/CBI), and the additional Free Trade Agreements available to U.S. companies.  Learn to save money by sourcing in these countries and learn the requirements for making an accurate claim to avoid any potential penalties from Customs, including how to determine if your product is eligible for preferential duty treatment and the  documents needed to support a claim.  In addition we will discuss other cost-saving mechanisms including Duty Drawback, Tariff Engineering (using the HTSUS to your benefit), Foreign Trade Zones, Bonded Warehouses.  This seminar will also prepare a company for shipping into Mexico and Canada under the NAFTA rules.
